Disinfecting Clean (Covid 19)

This service will have our trained cleaners disinfecting residential and commercial properties with hospital-grade disinfectants. All of our cleaners are currently using products that breakdown and remove bacteria and viruses. Our cleaners will continue to use products as they normally would as well the hospital-grade disinfectant for an extra level of protection.

The difference between Cleaning and Disinfecting

The best plan of action is to first clean surfaces by removing the dirt, using an all-purpose cleaner, and then apply disinfectant to get rid of the virus (the first step makes the virus easier to remove in the second step).

  • Cleaning refers to the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces (it doesn't kill germs but can reduce them and reduce the risk of spreading an infection).
  • Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.
Rest Easy Services have been focused on getting our procedures in place to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our staff and customers. In this ever-changing landscape, we will continue to provide you with updates as they arise.

Our staff are taking steps to ensure their health and safety as well as yours, particularly during these times. As well as following strict hygiene practices, our staff:

  • understand the importance of regular cleaning and sanitation of surfaces and common areas, particularly those which are 'frequent skin contact areas' such as door handles, handrails, light switches, telephone receivers, small appliances, keyboards, remote controls and taps and will make this a priority when cleaning your property.
  • are equipped with sanitisation sprays
  • use different cloths and mops for each customer/each area of the property you are cleaning to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Use fresh gloves for every clean
  • Use a face mask

Staff will be monitoring their own health and we ask them to ensure that if they have been in contact with/have been unwell, recently been overseas, or are exhibiting symptoms such as fever, sore throat, or shortness of breath, that they take the appropriate measures including seeking medical attention and self-isolating.

Before entering your home or business premises, we may also ask whether you fit any of the above criteria.

We know there are currently many unknowns and the situation is changing almost daily, but we want to assure you that we are monitoring the situation closely, following government updates and doing all that we can to ensure your health and safety and that of our staff and customers.
